About

Private Club Performance Management was created to provide a wide range of operational resources on topics covering leadership, organizational values, organization structure, management disciplines, and training. The materials are the creation of Ed Rehkopf, a retired hospitality executive with over 35 years of management experience in hotels, a resort, and private clubs, including multiple start-ups and turnarounds. Given the single authorship of the PCPM materials, they provide a highly integrated approach to organizing and operating high-performing clubs.

The wide-ranging materials on the Marketplace store, encompass a body of knowledge and information that would be helpful to those starting out in entry level leadership positions, those in mid-career wishing to increase their skill set, and senior executives looking for a comprehensive set of tools to train and educate their subordinate leaders. The most frequent comment heard from readers is, "I wish something like this was available when I was starting out."

Ed Rehkopf

During a long career in independent hospitality properties, Ed faced many challenges and learned a great deal in the process. In every position, he overcame the handicaps of limited resources and economies of scale to create organizations and disciplines fostering high levels of quality and service.

In retirement, it is his desire to pass on his experiences, knowledge, and lessons learned to new generation of hospitality leaders. For the past dozen years, he provided a wide range of operational resources through Hospitality Resources International (formerly Club Resources International). In addition to the resources on this site, he also offers a number of e-books distributed through various online distribution networks including Lulu.com, iBook, Kindle, Nook, Amazon, and others.

Ed holds a Master of Professional Studies degree from Cornell University's School of Hospitality Management and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
